2. Data collected

This site automatically collects the following information through Google Analytics:

  • Anonymised IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and traffic sources

No personally identifying data is collected other than that provided voluntarily by the user (e.g. through contact forms).

3. Purposes and legal basis

The data are processed for the following purposes:

  • Traffic analysis and site optimisation — legal basis: legitimate interest of the data controller (Art. 6 para. 1 point f GDPR), configured in anonymised mode.
  • Affiliate links — the site takes part in the Amazon Associates Programme. Links marked as affiliate links may transfer technical data to Amazon for the purpose of tracking commissions. Legal basis: user consent (Art. 6 para. 1 point a GDPR).

6. International transfers

Google Analytics and Amazon Associates involve the transfer of data to the United States. These transfers take place in compliance with the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (art. 46), in particular through the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and/or the EU-USA Data Privacy Framework.

7. Data retention

  • Google Analytics — aggregated data is kept for 14 months (default setting), configurable in the Analytics property settings.
  • Amazon affiliate cookies — session cookies expire at the end of the browsing session; persistent cookies last for a maximum of 24 hours for purchase tracking.
  • Server logs — kept only for as long as is strictly necessary for the security of the site (max. 30 days).

8. Rights of the data subject

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Request rectification (art. 16) or erasure (art. 17)
  • Object to the processing (art. 21) or ask for it to be restricted (art. 18)
