Who makes it: Françoise Bedel

Françoise Bedel is one of the most influential producers in the world of biodynamic Champagne. Her adventure began in the 70s in the Vallée de la Marne, one of the areas best suited to growing Pinot Meunier. Convinced that the land should express itself authentically, she converted her estate to biodynamics in the 90s, adopting an approach that respects the environment and the natural cycle of the vine. The estate works according to the principles of Rudolf Steiner, with natural treatments and minimal use of sulphites in the cellar. The result is a range of complex, long-lived Champagnes of great personality, able to tell the story of the terroir without compromise.
