Verdicchio
The Verdicchio is one of the most important and long-lived white grape varieties ofItaly, the absolute symbol of the region Marche. It is appreciated for its freshness, the marked savouriness, the aromatic finesse and the extraordinary ageing capacity, characteristics that make it a star both in young, immediate wines both of great whites for long ageing.
The name comes from "verde" (green), because of the greenish highlights which the wine often keeps as it develops.
