Arbois Pupillin and its wines

Arbois-Pupillin is one of the most celebrated and distinctive micro-zones of Jura, considered by many to be the “capital of Ploussard/ Poulsard”.
Located immediately south of the city of Arbois, in the municipality of Pupillin, this small hillside area enjoys a unique terroir, characterised by red and blue marl, limestone soils and an optimal south-easterly aspect.
The climate
The climate is cool continental, with harsh winters, mild summers and wide temperature swings that allow slow ripening, preserving aromatic finesse, natural acidity and varietal authenticity.
Arbois-Pupillin has become an international benchmark for the artisan wines of the Jura thanks to the great producers who have championed the area with pure, mineral and deeply territorial wines.
