Uco Valley and its wines

TheUco Valley is one of the most fascinating wine regions of Argentina, in the province of Mendoza. This valley is renowned for its extraordinary range of microclimates and soils, which help to produce high-quality wines. Thanks to its altitude, which ranges from 900 to 1.500 metres above sea level, the Uco Valley benefits from significant temperature swings, which help the grapes to ripen at their best. The wines produced in this region are marked by freshness, complexity and a pronounced minerality, which have won them international acclaim.
Characteristics of the wines of the Uco Valley
The wines of the Uco Valley stand out for their elegance and finesse. The most widely grown varieties include the Malbec, which here reaches levels of excellence, but also the Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon are highly appreciated. The red wines, in particular, have soft, fruity tannins, while the whites offer freshness and floral aromas. The combination of clay and sandy soils, together with a sunny, dry climate, creates ideal conditions for high-quality viticulture.
