Azienda Agricola Valle del Sole

Located in the micro-zone of Cappella, on the hills around Lucca between Lucca and Monte Magno, the estate was set up with the aim of promoting an area distinctive for wide temperature swings and constant ventilation, ideal for quality viticulture.
On around 10 ha of vineyard and olive grove, the estate practises organic and biodynamic farming, with sustainable methods aimed at soil vitality and natural pest control.

Terroir

The valley shaped by the Serchio and the closeness of the sea give a unique microclimate: marked temperature swings, mixed sand-clay soils with a Mediterranean influence, which give freshness and minerality to the wines

Wines and Oil

Production is divided between white, red and rosé IGT wines and extra virgin olive oil:

Malie IGT Toscana Bianco (Chardonnay, Grechetto, Vermentino): fresh, aromatic, average score of 3.8 on Vivino
Occhi di Fata IGT Toscana Rosato (Sangiovese): a bright, lively rosé
Libente IGT Toscana Rosso (Merlot): soft and balanced, an everyday comfort drink
Ebrius e Soleo: more complex labels, mid-range selections, with wood ageing and greater depth
Collezione Privata Bianco/Rosso (30–40 €): top selection, vinified in tonneaux and large casks
Extra virgin olive oil (22 €): a quality single-varietal wine

Since 2021 there has been a new a panoramic tasting room, where tasting flights of 4 to 6 wines are offered, accompanied by local produce and the estate’s own oil:
