Bronzato
Bronzato Wine is a family-run winery based in Montorio, in the north-eastern part of Verona, in the heart of the Valpolicella. Founded by Massimo Bronzato, the estate was born out of a passion for viticulture and the desire to promote the indigenous grapes of the area. Although a young operation, Bronzato Wine stands out for its attention to quality and respect for the environment.
The production philosophy is based on:
Respect for nature: sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention in the vineyard and the cellar.
Artisan production: every bottle is the fruit of meticulous, passionate work.
Showcasing the terroir: wines that express the distinctive characteristics of the local soil and climate.
The terroir
Bronzato Wine's vineyards lie in the Val Squaranto, a hilly valley north of Verona, characterised by limestone-clay soils with rock outcrops such as basalt, biancone della Lessinia and flint. This soil composition gives the wines marked minerality and aromatic complexity.
The area is rich in biodiversity, with olive groves, cherry trees, meadows and woodland living happily alongside the vines.
The Wines
Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG
Tasting notes: a wine of great structure and complexity, with intense aromas of ripe fruit, spice and balsamic notes.
Winemaking: the grapes are picked by hand and dried for about 3 months. After crushing, the must ferments for 2-3 weeks in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Ageing takes place in oak casks for 18 months.
Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore DOC
Tasting notes: an elegant, enveloping wine, with hints of red fruit, spice and a pleasant note of vanilla.
Winemaking: the Valpolicella wine is refermented on the Amarone pomace, following the "ripasso" technique. It then matures for 12 months in oak casks and 6 months in stainless steel.
Valpolicella Superiore DOC
Tasting notes: a fresh, fruity wine, with aromas of cherry, plum and light spicy notes.
Winemaking: fermentation of about two weeks in stainless steel, followed by ageing in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and typicity of the wine.
Why choose Bronzato Wine?
Sustainable production: care for the environment and for the biodiversity of the area.
Authentic wines: a sincere expression of the Valpolicella area.
Family passion: every bottle tells of dedication and love for viticulture.
Artisan quality: meticulous care at every stage of production.
