Cantina Micheli

At Lona-Lases, in the striking Valle di Cembra, in 2007 Francesco Micheli, barely twenty years old, decided to bring a dream to life: to recover abandoned land and restore dry-stone walls in order to plant Chardonnay and grape varieties typical of this heroic valley. The first grapes, picked in 2017, suffered bad weather and yielded only 1 223 kg, a figure that inspired the name of his first traditional method wine: “1223 kg”.

The family

Run as a small family operation – with Francesco and Francesca at the helm – the winery has a philosophy built on craftsmanship, sustainability and passion for mountain viticulture.

The Area and the Vines

Set to the south-west, on natural slopes with stony clay soils, the estate offers ideal conditions for varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, Schiava and Kerner.
The Valle di Cembra, hemmed in between peaks and the Aviso stream, gives freshness and minerality to the wines, reflecting the identity of the area in the glass.

• “1223 kg” Trento DOC Metodo Classico: the symbol of resilience. An elegant, fresh sparkling wine, with notes of yeast and white fruit.

• Évòchi Brut Rosé (Trento DOC): a mineral, vibrant rosé, from Pinot Nero vinified as a rosé.

• Soladio Kerner IGT: an original aromatic white, floral and lightly spicy, fermented in stainless steel.

• Estros Pinot Nero IGT: a terroir-driven red, fruity and medium-bodied.

• Titón Schiava IGT Vigneti delle Dolomiti: a red blend from grapes of Schiava, with spicy hints, silky tannins and an elegant finish.
