Fontechiara

Fontechiara is a family-run winegrowing estate located in Borgomanero, in the heart of the Colline Novaresi, a renowned area ofAlto Piemonte. Founded with the aim of producing quality wines, Fontechiara stands out for its use of native grape varieties such as Nebbiolo e Vespolina, which faithfully represent the area.

The winery lies at the foot of the Alps, a few kilometres from the striking lakes Maggiore and Orta, whose positive influence on the local microclimate helps create ideal conditions for winegrowing. The philosophy of Fontechiara is based on a deep respect for nature and for tradition, ensuring that every wine is a true expression of the land.

The terroir

The vineyards of Fontechiara lie on mineral-rich soils, which give the wines a unique complexity. The day-night temperature swings, together with the presence of the lakes, create a microclimate that favours perfect ripening of the grapes.
