Henriet-Bazin
The Henriet-Bazin family is an example of passion and dedication, having worked the land and tended the vines for five generations. Their mission is to produce cuvées that express the unique terroir of their vineyards, in the Montagne de Reims at Ville Marmery, a village known for its Chardonnay. The estate's history begins in 1890, when Gaston Henriet decided to keep part of the harvest to venture into winemaking.
The estate today
Today the estate is a small Maison producing around 70 thousand bottles a year, using only estate-grown grapes. The winery's philosophy is built on respect for nature and for the land, through sustainable practices such as sowing cover crops in place of fertilisers and giving up herbicides.
Sustainable Practices
The Henriet-Bazin estate works in harmony with the lunar cycles and respects insect life, creating a vital ecosystem for its vineyards. This approach not only preserves the environment, it also helps to produce high-quality wines. The wines from this house should be kept in a cool, dry place, away from sources of heat.
The terroir
The vineyards lie in a privileged area, with rich soils and ideal climatic conditions. Here the sun, the wind and the temperature swings favour native grape varieties, making every bottle a true masterpiece of the terroir.
