Le Marchesine
Le Marchesine is a historic winery of Franciacorta, founded in 1985 by the Biatta family, with winegrowing roots going back to the sixteenth century. For generations, the family has pursued an approach artisan and innovative, establishing itself as one of the benchmark estates for Franciacorta Metodo Classico.
Thanks to the use of advanced technology and an obsessive attention to quality, Le Marchesine makes refined, elegant and long-lived sparkling wines that express the Franciacorta terroir at its best. The Le Marchesine Method
The winery's vineyards extend over mineral-rich morainic soils, ideal for growing Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco. The harvest is strictly by hand and the grapes are vinified with soft pressing to extract only the purest must.Fermentation is temperature-controlled, followed by long maturation on the lees, which can last up to 60 months, depending on the cuvée. The remuage is carried out with care to guarantee finesse and creaminess in the perlage. The Wines of Le Marchesine
