Santa Maria La Palma

Founded in 1959 by about 100 local farmers in the area of the Nurra di Alghero, Cantina Santa Maria La Palma is today a thriving cooperative with about 300 members e 700 hectares planted, one of the leading wine producers in Sardinia.
The estate was born of farming ingenuity and combines local tradition with modern production technology.

Terroir and Philosophy

The planted area is characterised by a a coastal Mediterranean climate, with limestone soils and constant ventilation that bring out the aromatic profiles of the local varieties.

Aragosta Vermentino di Sardegna DOC
A fresh white, scented with apple and almond, harmonious and mineral; perfect for seafood dishes.
Akènta Spumante Extra Dry
Charmat method on a Vermentino base, with 6 months on the lees. Also refermented in the sea, it offers citrus and mineral notes. WaS 88 points.
Ràfia Vermentino di Sardegna DOC
From the limestone hills of Usini: dry, savoury and aromatic.
Le Bombarde Cannonau di Sardegna DOC
A Mediterranean red, fruity and easy-drinking, with echoes of herbs and red fruit.
