VikeVike

VikeVike was born from a passion for the Cannonau and by the desire to give this grape variety back its most authentic expression. Founded in Mamoiada, in one of the areas best suited to Sardinian viticulture, the winery is the fruit of a project that combines the wisdom of traditional practices with a modern, informed vision of wine.

From the outset, VikeVike has chosen an approach that is artisan and natural, rejecting the use of chemicals in the vineyard and relying on spontaneous fermentations. The aim is to produce wines that reflect the terroir without manipulation, letting nature and the vintage express every nuance. The grapes are picked strictly by hand, with careful selection of the best bunches. Fermentations take place with indigenous yeasts, with no addition of oenological aids, while ageing takes place in oak casks and concrete to allow the wine to mature without losing its original energy.

The VikeVike Method

VikeVike stands out for its minimal production philosophy, focused on respect for the raw material. Winemaking follows ancestral practices, with extended macerations and reduced use of sulphites, to obtain wines that are pure, authentic and long-lived.The winery focuses on low yields to guarantee high aromatic concentration and works in balance with nature, keeping a healthy, biodiverse environment in the vineyards. Every vintage tells its own story, with wines that evolve over time and reveal their true essence in the glass.

The Wines of VikeVike

VikeVike Cannonau di Sardegna DOC

An intense, vibrant Cannonau that embodies the power of the grape variety and the freshness of the terroir. Aromas of ripe red fruit, Mediterranean spices and mineral notes lead into an enveloping palate, with velvety tannins and a very long finish. Perfect for roasts, game and aged cheeses.

VikeVike Rosato

An original interpretation of Cannonau as a rosé, with aromas of wild strawberry, fresh flowers and citrus. Its well-balanced acidity and savoury finish make it ideal for aperitifs and fish dishes.

VikeVike Bianco

A white of great personality, made from native grape varieties with spontaneous fermentation. Notes of Mediterranean flowers, citrus and aromatic herbs come together in a mineral, persistent palate. Perfect with shellfish, fresh cheeses and traditional Sardinian dishes.

Awards and Collaborations

Despite its young age, VikeVike has already won recognition at wine events and captured the interest of top-end restaurants and wine bars. The winery takes an active part in tastings and events devoted to natural, artisan wines, carrying forward the culture of Cannonau in a new and authentic guise.
